The Arts@Trinity Flute Choir was founded in 2015 and currently has more than 20 members. It is open to flautists from Leeds and surrounding areas from grade 5 upwards.
Arts@Trinity is situated in Holy Trinity Church Leeds, which makes a lovely venue for concerts and rehearsals, with enough space and a piano if we need it. Also it’s right in the city centre, with both the train and bus station only a couple of minutes walk away.
We play a wide variety of repertoire and everyone is welcome to make suggestions. We have a resident arranger and composer in Simon Cummings and also invite other composers to come forward with new original pieces. Sheet music is provided.
We play at least two concerts a year in Holy Trinity Church apart from outside concerts that we are invited to play at. We often have other ensembles or soloist join us.
We not only play on concert flutes but also piccolos, alto and bass flutes. Bring along whatever you own!
There is no age limit, but grade 4 is minimum standard.
Costs: £5 per month (if you can only come occasionally, please contact me for costs)
We rehearse Thursdays from 17.30-19.00 and one Sunday a month (13.45-16.45)
Please don’t hesitate to contact me for more info or if you want to take part!
